Manifesto on Cultural Diplomacy through Music, Art and Culture

Building an International Community through Music, the Arts and Education

Why a Manifesto?
We live in a time marked by conflict, growing instability and increasing fragmentation between
societies. While global challenges demand greater cooperation, opportunities for genuine dialogue
and mutual understanding are becoming increasingly fragile. In this context, culture is not a
secondary dimension of international relations but a strategic space where trust can be rebuilt,
differences can become opportunities for encounter and new forms of cooperation can emerge.
Among all artistic expressions, music possesses a unique ability to transcend languages, borders
and ideologies. It creates shared experiences, nurtures empathy and reminds us of our common
humanity. Through education and artistic practice, it offers young people the opportunity not only
to develop their talents, but also to become active participants in building more open, inclusive
and peaceful societies.
This Manifesto was created to reaffirm that cultural diplomacy is a shared responsibility. It is an
invitation to institutions, artists, educators and citizens to work together in strengthening
international cooperation through culture, art, education and music, recognizing that investing in
human relationships today means building a future based on brotherhood, future more
sustainable and peaceful future for generations to come.

The Manifesto is not conceived as an end in itself. It is the beginning of a shared international
journey that will progressively generate dialogue, partnerships and collaborative initiatives across
institutions, artists and young people.

More than a Declaration

International Development Update

Towards an International Platform

The Manifesto on Cultural Diplomacy through Music, Art and Culture is conceived as the beginning of a long-term international journey. More than a declaration of shared values, it aims to become a living platform for dialogue, cooperation and cultural exchange, bringing together institutions and individuals committed to strengthening human relationships through culture, education and artistic practice.

Guided by the principles of reciprocity, mutual understanding and shared responsibility, the platform will progressively connect universities, conservatories, orchestras, festivals, foundations, cultural organizations, artists, students and researchers from across the world. By encouraging collaboration across disciplines, generations and cultures, it seeks to promote new opportunities for education, artistic creation, research and international cooperation.

The ambition is to build a permanent global network where knowledge, creativity, listening, and cultural diversity become active resources for dialogue, brotherhood and sustainable development. Through this shared commitment, the Manifesto will continue to evolve as an open framework for collective action, contributing to a future in which art and culture are recognised as a strategic force for peace, cooperation and human dignity.

The Platform will progressively promote
 Artistic collaborations
 Academic partnerships
 International forums
 Research
 Student mobility
 Institutional cooperation
 Exchange of best practices
 Educational initiatives

Our Principles

Human Dignity

Every cultural and artistic action begins with respect for the dignity of every person. Recognising our common humanity is the foundation of dialogue, cooperation and lasting peace.

Dialogue

Dialogue grows through listening, mutual understanding and the willingness to learn from one another. Music creates spaces where differences become opportunities for encounter rather than division.

Education

Education is one of the most powerful instruments of cultural diplomacy. It enables new generations to develop not only artistic excellence, but also responsibility, openness and global citizenship.

Art

Art is more than creative expression. It is a shared language that connects people across cultures, inspires mutual understanding and contributes to the construction of meaningful human relationships.

Cooperation

International cooperation flourishes through reciprocity, trust and shared responsibility. Sustainable partnerships are built on long-term relationships rather than short-term interests.

Fraternity

True cooperation is rooted in the awareness that we belong to one human community. Fraternity transforms diversity into a source of enrichment and strengthens our capacity to face global challenges together.

Young People

Young artists are not only the performers of today but the cultural leaders of tomorrow. Investing in their education and international experiences means investing in a more connected and peaceful future.

Peace

Peace is not merely the absence of conflict. It is a continuous process of building trust, fostering dialogue and creating opportunities for people and cultures to meet through education, art and shared experiences.
